What is estadio universitario?

Estadio Universitario, or officially Estadio Universitario Alberto "Chivo" Córdoba, is a stadium located in Monterrey, Mexico. The stadium is primarily used for football matches and is the home stadium of Tigres UANL, one of the most successful football teams in Mexico.

The stadium was opened in 1967 and has a seating capacity of 41,615 spectators. It is also known as "El Volcán" (The Volcano) due to its proximity to the Cerro de la Silla, a nearby mountain that resembles a volcano.

The stadium has hosted numerous important football matches, including the final of the 1986 FIFA World Cup, which took place in Mexico. It has also hosted international matches for the Mexico national football team and was used as a venue for the 2011 Pan American Games.

In addition to football matches, Estadio Universitario has also hosted concerts by major artists, including Maná, U2, and Shakira.
